How it began...

My name is Jenna de Bruyn and I am the Founder/CEO of Building Strong Horizons, Inc.

I grew up on a sugar beet and wheat farm in a small town on the border of North Dakota and Montana.  I had a strong heart to become a paramedic since I was very little.  During my teen years, I decided to go the x-ray/imaging career route instead.  All along my travels and adventures, I never lost my love for First Responders.  Every time I hear sirens, I'm ready to go and get an adrenaline rush.

 

I have always have had the love of gifting, planning, organizing, and lending a helping hand.  I also have a gift for recognizing what needs to be done and taking imitative.  

 

When I moved to GA in 2014, I had developed a stronger desire to see the impact of my donations and gifts to make sure my efforts were amplified. I also wanted to see complete honesty, transparency and integrity.  This is how Building Strong Horizons, Inc. non-profit was developed.

Building Strong Horizons, Inc. became an official 501(c)(3) non-profit in July 2021. 

 

During Covid was when I launched the HERO Moments Program to include the Frist Responders of the Month program.  This was one way to show respect and support to our beloved First Responders during the stressful and uncertain times.
